The means to embark on this journey has begun and commercial R&D in Space is achievable now with Plastron microgravity services, PlastronCRO. We provide and design specialist infrastructure for the launch and ISAM sectors, with a special focus on enabling life science research in Microgravity (Low Earth Orbit).
Our service centres on end-to-end service model incorporating the Plastron Deployable Laboratory, a deployable lab designed to support payload preparation at the launch site and post flight processing in remote locations following splash/crash down.
Our CRO Service Model
Plastron CRO, as a contract research organisation provides outsourced research support to the Pharma, Biotech and Medical device industries. Essentially we provide an end to end service model which typically encompasses these steps working with you:
- Initial Consultation - We undertake an initial consultation with your Pharma/Biotech/Medical company about specific opportunities in Microgravity for the products under development
- Experiment Design - We design an experiment collaboratively mindful of the Microgravity environment and specific objectives
- Launch Arrangement - We arrange for your experiment to be launched into orbit
- Monitoring & Management - We track, manage and monitor your experiment in space with option for simulataneous documentation/replication on earth
- De-orbit & Re-entry - We arrange for the completed experiment package to de-orbit and re-entry to earth
- Recovery & Delivery - We collect the package when it has arrived back to earth and deliver to you
