Who we are

About Plastron.

We deliver an unrivalled blend of expertise for businesses looking to commercially benefit from access to a Microgravity environment.

If you are active in the Space sector you may already be aware of Plastron's core expertise below:

Propulsion Engineering

We have over 40 years in spacecraft propulsion system design, test and launch-site operations across scientific and communication satellite programmes. Over their careers our team members have worked with major organisations, including ESA, CNES, Airbus, OHB, Thales & Nammo.

Hazardous Environment Engineering

We continue to benefit from our partners delivering spacecraft fueling campaigns for the European space sector. Our track record includes launch table heavy engineering and commercial launch campaigns for the French Space Agency, CNES, all of which underpins our specialist training products in launch operations and hazardous engineering best practices.

Satellite Assembly Clean Rooms

We design, engineer and build the most efficient clean rooms for Satellite assembly, thus reducing failure rates due to imperfect assembly environments. Our processes have been recognised as representing best practice from the advanced engineering manufacturing sectors. We also offer a training product for assembly best practices and advanced software for reducing mission risks, which can enhance operator capabilities in testing flight hardware and ensures insurance for Cubesat is available and affordable.

Engineering Expertise in Other Sectors

Not just space engineering specialists, our team also has extensive experience in service and process design for healthcare products and services as well other areas such as advanced material manufacturing. Our digital technology expertise has supported the evolution of digital capabilities for the UK and international health & life science sectors, including the NHS, government and global brands.

We have the relevant experience to deliver commercially viable and successful outcomes, for companies who understand the need to have access to Microgravity for product research, development and manufacturing.
